The facelift is officially documented, but do not treat every feature on Toyota’s showcase page as standard on every Corolla. The new brochure reserves vehicle stability control and front/rear parking sensors for Grande. Buyers considering the 1.6 Special Edition against the 1.8 CVT-i should compare equipment and a dated on-road quotation. The reported introductory offer starts on 16 October; its terms need dealer confirmation before payment.
What Toyota has actually confirmed
Toyota Indus now publishes the updated Corolla at a new official model page, with an October brochure labelled Corolla 2027. It lists 1.6 MT, 1.6 CVT-i, 1.6 CVT-i Special Edition, 1.8 CVT-i and Grande with black or chestnut interiors. The former beige Grande is not listed in this new range. [1,2]
The redesigned grille and bumper are visible in Toyota’s own images. This is a useful reason to inspect the actual allocated car: a quotation simply saying Corolla or Grande does not establish whether it is outgoing stock or the newly documented specification. Ask for the production month, interior colour and complete variant description.
Introductory prices: the invoice date matters
Reporting dated 14 October describes introductory ex-factory prices for eligible invoices from 16 October to 31 December 2026, subject to availability. It quotes PKR 6.099m for 1.6 MT, 6.699m for 1.6 CVT-i, 7.339m for 1.6 SE, 7.029m for 1.8 CVT-i, 7.709m for black Grande and 7.749m for chestnut Grande. [3]
These are reported campaign references, not an unconditional current official quotation. The new model page confirms the variants but did not expose a numerical price table in our check on 15 October. Ask the authorised dealer for the signed price circular, invoice eligibility, exclusions and treatment of existing bookings. A booking receipt dated inside a campaign period is not automatically the same as an eligible invoice.
Do not assume the headline price is the full payable amount. Keep freight, withholding tax, registration, insurance and optional accessories separate. Compare quotations issued on the same date with identical assumptions. A lower deposit changes cash timing; it does not by itself reduce the final price.
The safety distinction that should decide the shortlist
The October brochure shows dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, brake assist and ISOFIX across the grades. Its variant table marks vehicle stability control and two front/four rear parking sensors for Grande, with those rows marked absent in the lower grades. [2]
That is more useful than reading a showcase page as a universal equipment list. Stability control is a meaningful distinction to weigh alongside the price premium; parking sensors solve a different, low-speed convenience problem. Neither provides a guarantee against a collision. Before accepting delivery, match the written specification to the vehicle and ask the dealer to demonstrate warning lights and parking assistance.
| Feature | Lower grades | Grande |
|---|---|---|
| Dual front airbags and ISOFIX | Listed | Listed |
| Vehicle stability control | Not listed as fitted | Listed |
| Front/rear parking sensors | Not listed as fitted | 2 front / 4 rear |
Engine and transmission: compare the complete package
Toyota lists the 1.6 at 120 hp and 154 Nm, with a six-speed manual or CVT according to grade. The 1.8 is listed at 138 hp and 173 Nm with Sport CVT-i. These are manufacturer specifications, not our road-test measurements. [1]
The reported 1.8 CVT-i price is PKR 310,000 below the 1.6 Special Edition reference. That is a reason to compare both, not an automatic verdict that one is better. Test low-speed response, seat comfort and air-conditioning with your usual passengers. Then compare the registration quotation, annual costs, insurance and the equipment you would use every week. No verified new fuel-economy test is provided here.
Connectivity and interior: check the correct column
The brochure distinguishes the basic 1.6 infotainment description from the wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto listed for the 1.8 grades. It also separates Grande’s cabin materials and convenience equipment. A photograph of the highest grade cannot establish the equipment of a cheaper car. [2]
Bring your own phone to the showroom and test wireless connection, navigation audio and call quality. Sit in both interior colour choices if available, inspect rear-seat access with a child seat and check the luggage you actually carry. These checks cost nothing and often reveal more than an attractive display screen.
Before paying for the facelift
Request an itemised quotation, the exact campaign terms and the current Pakistan warranty booklet. We have not established a new warranty extension, guaranteed delivery month or price protection for every existing booking. Have each relevant promise added to the order rather than relying on a verbal assurance.
For buyers already holding a Corolla order, ask whether it will be fulfilled with old or facelift specification, whether a change affects the queue, and when the balance is due. Preserve the original order and written amendments. The best choice is the car whose equipment, timing and total cost are clear—not merely the newest model-year label.
