MG Cyberster: which specification do 230 kW and 375 kW describe?
MG Pakistan's Cyberster page combines a 375 kW, 3.2-second headline with a lower panel showing 230 kW and rear-wheel drive. Both can be real—but they describe different configurations.

The official page presents two configurations at once
MG Motor Pakistan headlines 375 kW, 3.2 seconds from 0–100 km/h, 507 km WLTP range and an estimated 38-minute 10-to-80-percent charge on a 150 kW DC charger. Lower on the same page, its specification selector offers Single Motor and Dual Motor tabs while the visible panel lists rear-wheel drive and 230 kW. [1]
Those numbers should not be combined. The logical reading is that 230 kW and rear-wheel drive describe a single-motor configuration, while the 375 kW performance headline belongs to the higher-output dual-motor car. MG's page does not make every value-to-variant link sufficiently clear, so the delivered vehicle and official specification sheet must settle the matter.
Why drivetrain changes the character
A rear-mounted single motor drives the rear wheels and reduces the number of traction motors. A dual-motor layout can drive both axles and can deliver the stronger acceleration highlighted at the top of the page. The difference affects response, traction, mass, efficiency, tyre loading and price—not only the power number.
Rear-wheel drive is not automatically inferior. It may offer adequate performance with lower mass and energy demand. Dual-motor all-wheel drive is valuable when its extra acceleration and traction are priorities, but independent testing must establish how each version rides, brakes and uses energy on real roads.
WLTP range and rapid charging need their conditions
MG labels 507 km as a WLTP figure and estimates 38 minutes from 10 to 80 percent using a 150 kW public DC rapid charger. A test-cycle range is a standardised comparison, not a promise for motorway speed, Pakistan summer heat or repeated hard acceleration. [1]
The charging time does not mean the car necessarily accepts 150 kW throughout the session. Charging normally rises and tapers according to battery temperature and state of charge. Buyers should ask for the exact battery capacity, peak DC rate, AC onboard-charger rating, charging curve and supplied cables for their configuration.
A roadster still has ordinary ownership questions
The Cyberster uses scissor-opening doors, a wraparound three-screen cockpit and a two-seat body. Those features create theatre, but owners need to test door clearance, ingress, roof operation, boot space, visibility, tyre availability and repair procedures. [1]
Low-volume body and roof components can matter more to long-term ownership than acceleration. Obtain insurance terms, roadside recovery limits, service locations and parts lead times before treating the car like a normal-volume MG model.
What a buyer should demand on the quotation
The invoice and provisional booking document should state Single Motor or Dual Motor, RWD or AWD, maximum power, battery, wheel size, range standard, charging equipment, colour, warranty and final price. A salesperson's verbal combination of the page's best figures is not enough.
Until MG publishes a perfectly separated Pakistan comparison, the responsible conclusion is precise: the Cyberster's official page confirms a compelling electric roadster, but the 230 kW and 375 kW values belong to different specification stories. Buy the documented car, not a merged webpage impression.
