The two petrol grades are not a simple equipment step
The 1.5T FWD protects the purchase budget and avoids paying for all-wheel-drive hardware that many urban owners may rarely use. The 2.0T AWD should be shortlisted when stronger motorway response, full passenger loads or a genuine traction requirement matter enough to justify roughly PKR 1.235m over the 1.5T reference.
AWD improves how torque reaches the road; it does not make tyres, braking distance or ground clearance irrelevant. Test both petrol grades on the roads you use, then compare annual fuel, insurance, tyre and financed costs rather than treating the larger engine and AWD badge as automatic value.
HEV is the lower-friction electrified choice
The H6 HEV does not require external charging. Its attraction is electric assistance and regenerative energy recovery within a normal petrol-fuelling routine. That makes it easier to use consistently for owners who park on the street, rent, or cannot install a protected charger.
The recorded HEV reference is about PKR 1.364m above 2.0T AWD and PKR 2.599m above 1.5T FWD. Fuel saving alone should not be assumed to recover either gap. Ask for a realistic city-and-motorway test, battery warranty terms and an insurance quotation before deciding.
PHEV value depends on plugging it in
GWM claims up to 100 km of electric range and up to 1,000 km of combined range for the H6 PHEV. It also advertises up to 3.3 kW external power output. These are manufacturer claims under defined conditions, not guaranteed Pakistan road results. [2]
The PHEV sits PKR 1.372m above the HEV reference. Its case becomes stronger when the owner can charge at home or work most days and a large share of routine driving fits inside the usable electric range. Before booking, verify the Pakistan battery capacity, AC/DC charging specification, supplied cable, installation requirements, actual warranty booklet and what happens when the battery is depleted.
The practical shortlist
Choose 1.5T FWD for the lowest purchase amount and ordinary paved-road use. Choose 2.0T AWD when petrol performance and traction are deliberate priorities. Choose HEV for electrified urban driving without a charging routine. Choose PHEV only after proving where, how often and at what tariff it will be charged.
A powertrain decision should survive five checks: complete on-road price, representative test drive, real charging access, battery and vehicle warranty, and five-year fuel or electricity cost. A higher sticker price is worthwhile only when the hardware will be used.
