Hyundai Pakistan's website displays Elantra 1.6 Special Edition from PKR 6,449,000 and Elantra Hybrid from PKR 10,761,000, a difference of PKR 4,312,000. Both figures were visible on 2 September 2026. [1–3]
A Hyundai promotional finance campaign was advertised as ending on 31 August. Do not assume its payment terms, discount or stock treatment continues merely because a model-page figure remains online. Ask the dealer to identify the ex-factory price, any active concession and its expiry in writing.

These are not merely two engines in the same specification
The Hybrid is the newer-generation body and electrified powertrain, while the 1.6 Special Edition represents a lower-priced route into the Elantra nameplate. Compare cabin dimensions, safety equipment, wheel and tyre sizes, infotainment, spare-wheel provision and warranty rather than subtracting only expected fuel bills.
A hybrid can be particularly pleasant in repeated stop-start driving because the electric system can support low-speed operation and regenerative braking. That does not create a fixed Pakistan fuel-economy guarantee; traffic, air-conditioning, trip length, tyre pressure and driving style remain decisive.
Test the payback before stretching the budget
For an illustration—not a claimed Elantra consumption result—assume 20,000 km per year, petrol at PKR 300 per litre and a difference of 4 litres per 100 km. The saving would be 800 litres or PKR 240,000 per year. Recovering PKR 4.312 million through fuel alone would take about 18 years before finance, insurance and resale differences.

Choose the 1.6 Special Edition when purchase price, established mechanical familiarity and lower capital exposure dominate. Consider the Hybrid when you value its newer platform, electrified response and equipment enough to pay for them independently of a quick fuel-only return.
Confirm the high-voltage battery warranty, trained service locations, roadside support and replacement tyre cost. The strongest decision is the one supported by a dated quotation and a back-to-back drive—not a temporary instalment advertisement.
