Choose the L03 REEV only if its petrol range extender solves journeys that your home-charging routine cannot; it still carries an engine, fuel system and combustion servicing. Choose the BEV Long Range if dependable overnight charging covers your routes and you value a simpler battery-electric powertrain. Current marketplace listings put them at PKR 11.5m and PKR 12.2m, but XPENG Pakistan has not yet published a current online price/specification sheet. Do not book either car without a dated distributor quotation and the Pakistan warranty, battery, range-cycle and charging details for the exact grade.
What is confirmed after the Pakistan launch
XPENG Pakistan's official website now features the L03 and links directly to a booking form. Independent launch coverage dated 12 October lists two Pakistan variants: L03 REEV at PKR 11,500,000 and L03 BEV Long Range at PKR 12,200,000, both described as ex-factory. [1,2]
The official local website did not publish those prices or a Pakistan specification table when checked on 13 October. CarRates therefore records them as current marketplace listings—not current official prices. Registration, taxes, freight, insurance, charging equipment and documentation may be additional. Get the complete payable figure from the distributor in writing.
| Variant | Powertrain | Listing reference |
|---|---|---|
| L03 REEV | Electric drive + petrol range extender | PKR 11,500,000 |
| L03 BEV Long Range | Battery electric | PKR 12,200,000 |
Why the July prices should not be quoted as current
In July, reports attributed four explicitly pre-launch prices to XPENG: PKR 9.99m Standard BEV, PKR 10.7m REEV RWD, PKR 11.7m Long Range BEV and PKR 12.7m LR Ultra BEV. The same communication said those introductory amounts were expected to increase after the booking phase. [3]
The current marketplace listing shows only two grades and different amounts. That does not prove the other grades are permanently cancelled, nor does it establish which equipment changed. Buyers with an earlier booking should obtain written confirmation of price protection, allocated grade, delivery date and refund terms rather than assuming the launch listing replaces their contract.
REEV and BEV solve different ownership problems
Both use electric propulsion, but the REEV carries a petrol engine as an onboard energy source. It can reduce dependence on public charging during long journeys, yet it still needs fuel, oil and combustion-system maintenance. The BEV removes that engine and depends completely on stored battery energy and charging access.
Model the decision around an ordinary week. If secure home or workplace charging covers daily travel and intercity charging is predictable, the BEV's simpler architecture can be attractive. If long or remote journeys are frequent, the REEV may reduce charging anxiety—but regularly driving it without plugging in can undermine the reason for carrying a sizeable battery. Ask to test the range extender after the battery state has fallen, not only a silent showroom drive.
Range numbers cannot be compared without their test cycle
XPENG's global L03 material describes up to 520 km WLTP for the battery-electric version and over 1,000 km combined range for the extended-range version. Pakistan reports also quote about 250 km electric and 1,100–1,150 km combined for REEV, often on CLTC. [2,4]
WLTP and CLTC are different controlled procedures, and combined REEV distance includes both stored electricity and petrol. None is a promise for motorway speed, summer air-conditioning, full passenger load or battery ageing. Require the distributor to state the exact battery capacity, usable energy, drivetrain, homologated cycle and range applicable to the chassis being ordered. Do not compare a CLTC figure directly with a rival's WLTP figure.
Charging claims need the car and charger on the same document
Pre-launch reporting listed a 37.25 kWh battery and up to 123 kW DC charging for REEV, with a claimed 10–80% session of around 20 minutes. Current launch reporting gives similar fast-charge timing but does not replace a Pakistan specification sheet. [2,3]
Peak charging power is not an average. The car's charge curve, battery temperature, starting state, charger voltage and site power determine the actual stop. Before booking, obtain the connector standard, maximum AC and DC inputs, supplied portable cable or wallbox, installation responsibility and battery warranty in writing. Have a qualified electrician assess parking, earthing and available load.
The PKR 700,000 gap is not the total ownership difference
On the current listings, BEV Long Range costs PKR 700,000 more than REEV. The purchase gap alone cannot decide value. Compare insurance, registration, financing, expected annual charging and fuel, scheduled maintenance, tyre specification, battery coverage and the resale uncertainty of a newly introduced model.
Use the same ownership period and annual kilometres for both. For REEV, separate grid electricity from petrol used after the battery is depleted. For BEV, price a home charger and any intercity charging. Do not insert a perfect brochure range into the cost calculator; use conservative distance and efficiency estimates based on your routes.
What must be written before you pay
The local website currently offers a booking path but does not publish a detailed L03 Pakistan page with variant-by-variant safety, equipment, warranty and delivery terms. Do not fill those gaps with another country's brochure. Ask for an order form naming REEV or BEV Long Range, production specification, battery capacity, motor output, airbags, driver-assistance functions, tyre and spare-wheel provision, ground clearance and included charging equipment.
Also request the vehicle warranty, battery warranty including degradation threshold, parts and high-voltage service locations, roadside support, delivery month and cancellation terms. A new brand can offer compelling hardware; the ownership decision also depends on whether the local network can diagnose and supply it after the launch attention fades.

Verify before paying
- Treat PKR 11.5m and PKR 12.2m as listing references until XPENG publishes or signs a current price sheet.
- Confirm the exact battery, range test cycle and charging limits for the ordered variant.
- Get complete on-road cost, delivery and cancellation terms in writing.
- Read the Pakistan vehicle and battery warranty before paying.
