Shortlist Hunter if you can charge regularly and want a five-seat pickup with electric propulsion. For continuous heavy work, first establish loaded performance, towing limits and local service support. Changan lists PKR 10,990,000; that is a vehicle price, not a complete registered-and-insured total. The official brochure and webpage disagree on torque and combined range, so obtain a signed specification for the vehicle you order.
Pakistan price and what the quotation must include
Changan’s Pakistan website lists Nevo Hunter REEV at PKR 10,990,000 on 12 October 2026, with freight and CVT stated as included. Its brochure identifies one grade, REEV Plus 4x4. These are manufacturer-listed details, not an estimated future Pakistan launch price. [1,2]
Ask the dealer to itemise registration, applicable withholding tax, insurance, accessories and charging equipment. Do not add freight twice if the quotation already includes it. Equally, do not assume a displayed vehicle price includes every on-road charge. A dated booking document should identify the grade, delivery commitment, cancellation terms and any price-change clause.
Electric drive does not eliminate the engine
The brochure specifies front and rear electric motors, a 31.18 kWh LFP battery, 4x4 and a 2.0-litre turbo petrol range extender with a 70-litre tank. Listed combined motor power is 240 kW / 322 hp. [2]
For the buyer, the important distinction is routine: regular charging can make short journeys predominantly electric, while the petrol system supports longer travel. It still needs fuel and engine maintenance. A range extender should not be mistaken for a battery-only EV with no combustion servicing. Ask to experience the truck both with a charged battery and after the extender starts; sound and response under load matter more than an unloaded showroom demonstration.
Range and torque: two official sources disagree
The brochure labels electric range as 131 km NEDC and quotes over 900 km combined. The webpage gives 700–900 km combined. The brochure lists 529 Nm total torque, while the webpage says 470 Nm. Both sources agree on 322 hp. CarRates has not independently measured these figures. [1,2]
The NEDC label matters: it is a laboratory test cycle, not a promise of 131 km with cargo, high motorway speeds or air conditioning. The combined-range figures are not directly comparable with a battery-only range claim. Until Changan reconciles its figures, avoid using the higher torque or distance as a decisive advantage over another pickup. Request the applicable specification by chassis number before payment.
Charging is the ownership test to do before booking
The brochure lists maximum AC charging of 6.6 kW, DC charging of 41 kW and a claimed 30–80% DC session of 30 minutes. V2L output is listed at 3.3 kW. [2]
A charger’s advertised maximum does not mean that power is sustained throughout a session. Temperature, battery state and the supply affect charging. Have a qualified installer assess parking access, earthing and the electrical supply, then get charger and installation costs in writing. For remote work, confirm usable V2L energy, output limits and the reserve needed to drive home; socket wattage alone cannot establish how long tools will run.
Measure the job, not just the truck
The five-seat brochure lists 5,380 × 1,980 × 1,920 mm exterior dimensions, a 3,180 mm wheelbase, 220 mm clearance, 1,010 kg payload and 2,500 kg towing capacity. The cargo bed is 1,590 × 1,580 × 490 mm; tyres are 265/60 R18. [2]
Check whether your equipment actually fits between the wheel housings and whether it can be secured. Payload is not spare capacity after loading people, accessories and luggage: ask for the permitted axle and gross vehicle weights and weigh the intended working load. Likewise, a towing headline does not establish that maximum towing and payload can be used together. Confirm trailer braking, towbar approval and permitted combination mass.
Equipment, safety and the final buying decision
The brochure lists front, side and curtain airbags, stability control, hill-descent control, an around-view camera, lane-departure warning and cruise control. It also includes ventilated front seats, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and a 12.3-inch infotainment display. It does not establish adaptive cruise control or autonomous driving. [2]
Compare Hunter with a diesel pickup and a plug-in hybrid pickup using the same work pattern, insurance quote and ownership period. A fleet that cannot charge may value an established service route more than electric commuting. A privately used truck with secure charging may judge cabin comfort and quiet low-speed operation more heavily. Neither conclusion follows from power alone.
The reviewed brochure does not state a Pakistan battery warranty term, service interval or battery-health guarantee. Obtain the actual warranty booklet, exclusions, parts support and authorised high-voltage service location. Do not substitute another Changan model’s warranty.
