Shortlist the J5 for its confirmed hybrid hardware and warranty package, but do not book from an old PKR 6.699m or PKR 7.699m advertisement. Obtain a dated quotation first, then judge whether the Premium equipment is worth the full current difference.
The price needs a clear label
The J5 SHS-H launched in Pakistan with Comfort at PKR 6,699,000 and Premium at PKR 7,699,000. Those figures created a neat PKR 1 million step, but the launch communication explicitly described them as introductory ex-factory prices valid only until 10 March 2026.
The official Pakistan model page currently confirms the vehicle, both variant names and detailed specifications, but it does not show a current public price in the accessible model information. CarRates therefore records PKR 6.699m and PKR 7.699m only as launch references—not as guaranteed August prices. A dated dealer quotation is essential before any on-road or finance calculation.
What both variants share
The official model page states comprehensive system output of 221 hp (165 kW), 295 Nm, a 1.83 kWh battery and a claimed 950+ km combined range. It also lists WLTP combined fuel consumption of 5.3 litres per 100 km and manufacturer-claimed 0–100 km/h acceleration of 7.9 seconds.
Dimensions are listed at 4,380 mm long, 1,860 mm wide and 1,650 mm high, with a 2,620 mm wheelbase and 176 mm ground clearance. These shared fundamentals matter more than cosmetic differences because they define cabin footprint, road clearance and basic performance.
Where Premium may earn its extra cost
Launch reporting associates the Premium grade with six airbags, ADAS functions, a 540-degree camera, panoramic roof, ventilated powered front seats, dual-zone climate control, a 13.2-inch touchscreen and an eight-speaker audio system. The official page describes these features for the J5 range, but buyers should not assume every listed feature is standard on Comfort.
Ask for a dated Pakistan variant-comparison sheet. Mark differences in airbags, ADAS, cameras, seat adjustment, roof, wheels, climate control, infotainment and audio. Only then can the current Premium price gap be judged properly.
Hybrid ownership checks
The official page advertises a six-year or 150,000 km vehicle warranty and an eight-year or 160,000 km high-voltage warranty. Confirm the exact start date, transfer conditions, maintenance requirements and exclusions in the warranty booklet supplied with the vehicle.
The stated 5.3 L/100 km is a standardized manufacturer figure, not a promise for Lahore, Karachi or Islamabad traffic. Real consumption will change with congestion, temperature, tyre pressure, load and driving style. A realistic test drive and an owner’s own annual-kilometre calculation remain necessary.
A safer buying sequence
First obtain written Comfort and Premium quotations dated the same day. Second, confirm that registration, withholding tax, freight, insurance, tracker and compulsory accessories are treated consistently. Third, calculate financing from the current payable amount rather than the expired launch figure.
Finally, confirm the production month, delivery date, exact colour, warranty booklet and nearest authorised service support. A well-priced hybrid is useful only when the buyer can maintain it conveniently and understands what the selected grade actually includes.
